Ukraine will receive 400,000 shells by the end of April thanks to Czech initiative

Within the framework of the Czech initiative, Ukraine has already been provided with 400,000 ammunition from the beginning of the year to the end of April, and the financing of new purchases is provided by the fall.

Details: The official noted that the funding for the next purchases is guaranteed by the fall, but refrained from the forecasts on the possibility of exceeding the volume of supplies recorded last year.

“We will transfer so much (ammunition – ed.) As we can find the world,” she said, noting that there is an opportunity to buy about 1.5 million ammunition, but it all depends on the availability of money.

According to her, the donors will depend on whether it will be possible to raise enough money to pay the initiative and deliver ammunition to Ukraine as soon as possible.

Chernohova declared on April 27 that other countries joined the initiative and mentioned bilateral talks with Belgium, which, she said, also promised to participate in the support of Ukraine with ammunition.

In his turn, the Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky stated in early April that additional financial resources from Canada, Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands were obtained for the initiative.
