Marchenko does not expect a signing with the USA on subsoil this week

Finance Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Marchenko stated that he does not expect a signing from the USA for minerals this week, but Kiev is working to conclude it as soon as possible. He said this on Thursday Reuters.

According to FT, the United States does not offer any security guarantees in this agreement. The previous version of the agreement also did not contain those security guarantees for Ukraine that Zelensky insisted on.

Trump has promoted an agreement since the beginning of his second term in January. Both parties were ready to sign an agreement on natural resources in February, but it was postponed after the meeting of Trump and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in the oval office turned into a dispute.
