    No player has ever won five nights during in a single Premier League campaign, with the Nuke’s last one coming in Newcastle on March 27.

    But MVG – who has come under-fire recently – got back to his usual best on Monday when he won German Darts Grand Prix in Munich.

    Van Gerwen defied a 113 average from Littler to triumph in an epic last-eight clash on the tournament’s opening night in Belfast, although the teenager has since won the pair’s last three meetings.

    Littler also picked up a nightly win here in Liverpool last year!

  • Bunting eyes huge home city winA focused Stephen Bunting admits tonight’s Premier League Darts in Liverpool will be emotional after a decade of waiting.

    Bunting said: “I want to win, not cry.”

    The 40-year-old, who was last a permanent fixture of a Premier League Darts campaign in 2015, says his heavy defeat to Phil Taylor on that occasion has taught him a lot ahead of a “dream” return.

    The Bullet from Liverpool added: “I’m really excited, probably 10 years in the making.

    “When Taylor beat me here all those years ago, I always dreamt of coming back.”

  • What happened on Night 11?Luke Littler‘s wait for a record-breaking fifth nightly win will go on after he was beaten 6-5 by Stephen Bunting in the semi-finals.

    The Bullet couldn’t go all the way in the Netherlands after Chris Dobey beat him 6-2 in the final.

    It’s the Newcastle-native’s first nightly win in the Premier League, and it puts him three points off the play-offs.
