Media: Britain has banned export of gaming controllers to the Russian Federation that can be used to control UAVs

The British government has banned exports to Russia’s controllers of gaming consoles, which, according to him, are used to pilot drones on the front lines in Ukraine, British media reports.

The new package announced this morning provides 150 trade sanctions against Russia.

The UK has also closed access to other technologies, including software to find and operate new oil and gas wells.

The British Government’s website has not been reported at this time.

“Today, we use all our opportunities to straighten the Russian military car, save the lives of Ukrainians and protect the British business from cynical Russian exploitation,” said the Minister of Sanctions of the United Kingdom, Stephen Doti, which is quoted by Politico.

Today’s sanctions package is mostly aimed at stopping access of innovative software and technologies to the Russian defense and energy sectors, including video game controllers used to pilot drones in the war against Ukraine, as well as the transfer of technologies used in the production of goods belonging to common goods.

It also prohibits the export of chemicals, electronics, machines and metals to limit Russia’s military and industrial capabilities.
