The Ambassador of China to Ukraine was visited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs because of the recently discovered facts of participation of Chinese citizens in the war on the side of the Russian Federation, and the involvement of Chinese companies in the production of weapons in the territory of the aggressor country.

The foreign ministry noted that the invitation of the Ambassador of China to Ukraine took place today, April 22.
Beijing’s representative MA SHENKUN met with the Deputy Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevgeny Perebius.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Deputy Ukrainian Minister “stressed that the facts of participation of Chinese citizens in hostilities against Ukraine on the side of the aggressor state, as well as the involvement of Chinese companies in the production of military products in Russia, are of serious concern and contradictory of the spirit of partnerships between Ukraine and the PRC.”
It is also noted that Ukrainian intelligence services have provided evidence of such facts to the Chinese side.
“In this regard, Yevgeny Perebinis urged the Chinese side to take measures to stop Russia’s support in its aggression against Ukraine, which Beijing has repeatedly declared,” the Foreign Ministry said.
According to the Ministry, Perebinis, in a conversation with the Chinese ambassador, “assured that our state values a strategic partnership with the PRC and expects that China will refrain from further from steps that could damage bilateral relations.”
We will remind, despite the strong trade relations between Russia and China, the official Beijing repeatedly denied the supply of weapons to any party. The Chinese side also assured that it was not involved in the war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine.
At the same time, there was a lot of evidence that China helps Russia to circumvent Western sanctions, which, in particular, allows the Kremlin to feed its “military machine”.
Citizens of China have handed over the technologies of drones and work at Russian military factories. This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during communication with journalists.
