The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine reported the sudden death of the People’s Deputy of the IX convocation of Vladimir Moroz, who was part of the deputy group “Restoration of Ukraine”.
This group was joined by several people’s deputies who were previously members of the forbidden party “Opposition Platform – for Life”.
Vladimir Moroz was 57 years old, he was born in 1967. In Parliament, he headed a subcommittee on electricity and electricity transportation within the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing and Communal Services.
The death of the deputy was officially reported by the press service of the Verkhovna Rada, as well as the NGO “Honest”. Parliament leadership, MPs and the staff of the apparatus have expressed their sincere condolences to the family and loved ones.
Volodymyr Moroz was elected to the Verkhovna Rada from the constituency # 59 in Donetsk region, running from the opposition platform – for life, which was subsequently forbidden.
After the commencement of full -scale aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, on March 24, 2022, Moroz, together with several colleagues, officially declared withdrawal from the OPZG faction. Subsequently, he joined the newly created deputy group “Recovery of Ukraine”, which united some of the former representatives of the forbidden party.
In addition to parliamentary activity, Frost was one of the co-authors of the Law No. 7476-3, which envisaged the deprivation of the mandates of deputies elected from the prohibited political forces.
In this document, deputies from the former PPZZ proposed to leave their recent associates the right to work in local self -government bodies.
