German Minister Boris Pistorius has commented on public debate in the German government to send Taurus to Ukraine.
About it reports The Telegraph.
“I do not know where these erotic relations with weapons came from,” he said, commenting on the candidate for German Chancellor Friedrich Merz to convince the Social Democratic Party to agree to send Taurus.
According to Pistorius, no country has previously spent such public debates on a specific weapon for Ukraine.
Responding to the words of the German minister, the exhibit of Ukraine in Germany Andriy Melnyk stated that “not only the Germans love erotica.” Melnyk also noted that Ukraine “as air” requires long -range winged missiles.

On April 1, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky expressed his hope that it would be possible to agree on the supply of Taurus long -range missiles with a new German Chancellor.
On April 14, DW reported that Friedrich Merz declared his readiness to support the transfer of German long -range Taurus missiles to Ukraine if the decision was agreed with European partners of Germany.
He also suggested what purpose they can be used for.
After that, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev called Merz “Nazi, because the German politician, as one of the directions of use of rockets, called the destruction of key land routes that connect Russia with the occupied Crimea and are critical for the logistics of Russian troops.
The spokesman of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin Dmitry Peskov was also indignant with the words of Merz about the possibility of supplying Taurus missiles to Ukraine and stated that this could lead to “inevitable escalation”.
