According to the SBU, the attacker prepared the coordinates for the rocket-arable blow to the Russian Federation in the locations of defense forces. Among the potential goals of the enemy were units of the National Guard, which are involved in combat missions on the Eastern and Southern Fronts.

The SBU counterintelligence exposed the attacker in advance, documented his crimes, and detained in September 2024, when the agent conducted an intelligence near a military facility.
