Details: The WP journalists got an internal document, which implies that the White House offers almost half to reduce the State Department’s budget and do so by financing humanitarian aid and health and health care programs, as well as international organizations.

The document proposes to leave $ 28.4 billion for all activities of the State Department – that is, 48% less than the budget approved by the Congress for 2025.
If 54-55%reaches the programs of humanitarian aid and health care, in the case of international organizations it is almost 90%.
“According to the document, the UN financing, NATO and another 20 other organizations would be terminated, there will be point contributions to a small number of organizations, including the IAEA and the international civil aviation organization,” WP notes.
The document also refers to the complete cessation of funding for international peacekeeping missions through recent missions.
In addition, the document offers radical changes for the State Department – in particular, it concerns wages, bonuses and daily, hiring new people, associations of positions, etc.
The document was dated on April 10, it was signed by the Director of the Budget and Planning of the State Department Douglas Pitkin and already dismissed from the post of external assistance director Peter Morookko.
The Secretary of State Marco Rubio was given time until Tuesday to submit a response to the document and their own proposals, and they want to bring it to Congress by the end of April.
“European Truth” notes that it is only a proposal that will require Congress’s consent, and one of the signatories no longer holds its position.
