Yuriy Yula was born on August 18, 1982 in the village of Valevachi in Chernihiv region. He began his military career at 14 years of age – having joined the Chernihiv Military Lyceum with enhanced physical training.

In 2005 he graduated from Sumy State University of Missile Forces and immediately became the ranks of the 26th Artillery Brigade. In 11 years of service, the journey from the platoon commander to the chief of staff went.

In 2014–2018, Yula headed the Division of the 43rd Separate Artillery Brigade. After that, he returned to the 26th Brigade as a deputy commander.

In 2023 he was appointed commander of the 27th Reactive Artillery Brigade named after Peter Kalnyshevsky.

For his courage, the professionalism and loyalty of the oath, Yuri Yula was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky II and III degrees.
