French-British delegation arrived in Kiev: they will talk about a military contingent

On April 4, meetings of representatives of France, the United Kingdom and Ukraine are held in Kiev for the placement of a military contingent.

Details: According to sources of publication in diplomatic circles, meetings take place at the level of military headquarters.

In particular, the French delegation is headed by General Thierry Burkhardt, and British – Admiral Anthony Radakin.

During the day, they will have a number of meetings with the Ukrainian military.

Also on Friday, their meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky is planned.

It is noted that the French-British delegation aims to discuss the possibility of placing a foreign contingent in Ukraine.

Prehistory:

• On March 27 in Paris, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that the French-British mission will go to Ukraine to work on the strengthening of the Ukrainian army. At the same time, he added that working on the potential sending of the so -called “guarantee forces” is ongoing.
• On March 28, Zelensky announced a meeting at the level of representatives of the General Staff in Ukraine, dedicated to the future deployment of a military contingent. He stated that it would be a “first deep meeting”, which would be “some of the explanations and some details.”
