This information became known from its electronic declaration on property and income.
In September 2024, Smetanin headed the Ministry of Strategic Industry within the limits of “major rebooting of the government”. Prior to that, he worked as the CEO of the Ukrainian Defense Industry.
In total, in a year, he declared income of UAH 7 million.
In particular, his salary in the ministry was 449 thousand hryvnias, and in the Ukrainian Defense Industry he received UAH 4.2 million of wages and UAH 2.4 million.
Herman Smetanina’s wife, Anfisa Smetanina, also declared her income. She earned 133 thousand hryvnias from business, UAH 198 thousand for the sale of her own books and another 1900 hryvnias of royalty from LLC “Publishing Center of the Academy”.
The spouse’s declaration lists significant savings. Herman Smetanin saves 1.8 million hryvnias in bank accounts, and has 1 million hryvnias and $ 38,000 in cash.
His wife has 853 euros on an electronic wallet and another 180 hryvnias and 67 euros in a bank.
The Smetanin family has real estate in Kharkiv. Herman owns a share in an apartment of 43.2 m² (30%), and his wife owns a fraction in an apartment of 66 m² (33.3%).
In Kiev, Smetanin rents an apartment of 235 m² and a parking lot of 15.6 m².
Regarding transport, Herman Smetanin uses Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 150 release of 2023, and his wife is traveling at the 2013 Hyundai IX35.
