At the same time, Zelensky said several times that he is still unknown to US President Donald Trump’s negotiations and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
On the evening of March 18, Trump and Putin held almost two -hour telephone talks. According to the White House, they agreed that the movement to peace would begin with an “energy and infrastructure ceasefire, as well as technical negotiations on the introduction of a Marine truce in the Black Sea, a complete ceasefire and a constant peace.”
The Kremlin claims that Putin supported Trump’s idea of a monthly moratorium on mutual blows to energy infrastructure – “he positively responded to this initiative and immediately gave the Russian military the appropriate team.”

At the same time, Putin, according to the Kremlin, marked “a number of significant points” concerning the control over the cessation of fire throughout the line of combat clash, and also spoke about the need to “stop forced mobilization” in Ukraine and re -equipment of the Armed Forces.
The Russian President also called “a key condition for preventing escalation” the complete termination of foreign military assistance and exchange of intelligence with Kiev. Putin also announced the exchange of prisoners.
Following the negotiations in Saudi Arabia, Ukrainian and US officials announced on March 11 that Kiev agreed to a ceasefire for 30 days.
Moscow has previously reacted cool to this idea, and Putin proposed additional conditions, including freezing the supply of Kiev weapons.
