Zelensky will visit Finland with an official visit on March 19

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, together with the first Lady Elena Zelensky, will make an official visit to Finland on March 19, according to Tuesday on the official website of President of Finland.

“After solemn events, the topics of official discussions in the Presidential Palace will support Ukraine’s Finnish and steps to end the Russian-aggressor war,” the statement reads.

After the negotiations of Presidents Vladimir Zelensky and Alexander Stubba, a joint press conference is planned.

The visit program also provides Zelensky’s meeting with Parliament Speaker Yussy Galla-Gaga and Prime Minister Petter Orpo, as well as communicating with students of Helsinki University.

The office of the President of Ukraine does not usually announce the visits and meetings of Zelensky for safety reasons.

The last meeting of the Presidents of Ukraine and Finland was held on March 2 in London.

Finland has been actively supporting Ukraine since the beginning of a full -scale invasion of Russia. It provides military assistance, including weapons, ammunition and training in the Ukrainian military. On March 13, the Ministry of Defense of Finland has announced a new military assistance package to Ukraine for 200 million euros, and it awaits the government and the President of the country.

At the end of February, Helsinki published a program worth 660 million euros, in which new defense equipment to support Ukraine will be ordered in the Finnish defense industry.
