The court session considered the prosecutor’s request for continuing the accused of a precautionary measure in the form of house arrest at night.
As a result of the consideration of the prosecutor’s request, the court refused and applied a precautionary measure in the form of a personal obligation, with the assignment on him for a term up to 18 May 2025 the following obligations:
- arrive at each requirement to the court;
- notify the court about changing your place of residence, work and changing your phone number;
- refrain from communicating with a witness in criminal proceedings;
- Continue storage with the relevant state authorities of the passport (passports) for traveling abroad, other documents that give the right to leave Ukraine and entry into Ukraine, if any.
The accused was explained that failure to fulfill these duties may lead to a change in the measure of restraint on a more strict with the imposition of a fine.
According to the court, the current decision is motivated by the fact that the risks that were the basis for the election / continuation of the preventive measure have decreased.
It is taken into account that the accused was under 24 -hour house arrest from 12.04.2023 to 20.12.2023, under house arrest at night from 21.12.2023 to 18.03.2025, during the period of house arrest, the violation of him was not committed, and did not allow. In addition, the victims and witnesses have been questioned in criminal proceedings, and the study of written evidence is ongoing.
After the prosecutor’s request, the court session was postponed until 11.00. March 25, 2025 in connection with the absence of the accused due to the deterioration of his well -being.
The next court session is planned to continue the study of written evidence; The accused will participate in a videoconference mode.
