Currently, 860,000 internally displaced persons (IDPs) who can work in Ukraine have no work.
At the same time, only 63 thousand of them appealed to the employment centers in 2024, the press service of the Ministry of Social Policy reports on the results of the expert discussion “Integration of IDPs in the labor market: from temporary decisions to permanent employment”.
IDP employment requires a comprehensive set of actions. Therefore, the state implements a number of programs that help with housing, child care and social support. At the same time, the Ministry of Social Policy did not provide indicators that would evaluate their effectiveness.
It was reported that the number of internally displaced persons in Ukraine continues to grow, in particular through the enemy’s offensive and forced evacuation from the areas of fighting. Currently, it is about 5 million IDPs.
We will remind that under the Equation program more than 70 thousand families received compensation for damaged housing and almost 5 thousand applicants received residential certificates for the purchase of a new one.
Earlier it was reported that Izium in Kharkiv region declared the first suspicions of criminal proceedings about fraud with compensation under the State Education Program.
It should be reminded that almost UAH 7 billion has been allocated for the payment of the compensation agreed under the Equinical Program. Most of this amount will be received by the owners of the destroyed homes – more than UAH 4 billion, the rest will be spent on compensation for housing repairs.
