Rubio expressed “cautious optimism” regarding the negotiations of the Russian Federation and the US

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that there are “causes for careful optimism” on ceasefire negotiations in Ukraine.

Details: Rubio described the negotiations of the special envoy of US President Donald Trump – Steve Vitcoff – in Moscow as “a very positive and productive meeting with President Putin.”

“We will study the Russian position more carefully, and the President will determine what the next steps will be. It is enough to say that I think there are grounds for careful optimism,” he said.

The US Secretary of State noted that “we continue to admit that it is a difficult and difficult situation,” and stressed that “it will not be easy, it will not be easy, but we certainly feel that we, at least a few steps, have come to the end of this war and establish peace.”

“Obviously, we will see that Russia and others are ready to do. It is not only Russia, it is obvious that it should be acceptable for Ukraine. On March 13, a specialist Vitcoff was in Moscow. The Kremlin stated that Trump had been transmitted through it.

On the same day, the Kremlin head responded carefully to the US’s offering to cease fire. Without rejecting it directly, he hinted that Moscow could nominate his terms to any agreement.

Trump said Putin “made a very promising statement, but it was not complete.” He also said that if Russia does not agree to the ceasefire for 30 days, it will be a “disappointing moment for the world.”

On March 14, Trump said the US side had a “very good and productive discussion with Putin.
