OFFICIALLY. WBO ordered Usik to protect the title. The famous rival of the Ukrainian

World Boxing Organization (Wbo) Officially obliged the Ukrainian boxer Alexander Usik To protect the title.

The opponent of the Ukrainian is Joseph Parker. The parties have 30 days to negotiate a match.

“WBO officially requires a compulsory agreement between Usik and Parker, which provides for the speedy termination of WBO temporary champion [ким є Паркер].

This action corresponds to our rigid support policy of only one champion in each weight category, ”said Gustave Oliver (WBO President).

Parker promotes Frank Warren from Queensberry Promotions. Joseph was supposed to meet Dubua Duba in February in Riyadh, but Duba starred from the battle due to illness. As a result, Parker entered the ring against Martin Bakole and knocked it down in the second round.

Usik spent his last battle in December 2024 against Tyson Fury and won the British for the second time.

Earlier it was reported that the Usika team is negotiating a match with Daniel Duba. It is noted that WBO “created an obstacle to this potential battle” by obliging Alexander to meet with the parker.
