As a result of a full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, 601 children were killed, more than 1788 were injured, the Office of the Prosecutor General reports.
According to juvenile prosecutors, children were most affected in the following areas: Donetsk – 625, Kharkiv – 468, Kherson – 198, Dnipropetrovsk – 202, Kyiv – 136, Zaporizhia – 167, Mykolaivska – 118.
In the office of the Prosecutor General add that two children have been killed in the last days, four more were injured:
- March 11 as a result of the shelling of the village of Rivne in Donetsk killed two boys aged 13 and 11 years, as well as a 14-year-old boy wounded
- March 8 as a result of a Druzhkivka shelling injured a 15-year-old girl
- On March 7, a 7-year-old girl was injured through Kramatorsk firing
- March 7 as a result of the shelling of the village of Pokrovske in Poltava region was injured by a 15-year-old girl
As of January 2025, the UN Human Rights Mission was able to confirm that since February 2022, 12605 civilians were killed in the Russian Federation against Ukraine, another 29,78 were injured.
