The delegations also discussed the importance of humanitarian efforts as part of the peace process, in particular during the aforementioned ceasefire regime, including the exchange of prisoners of war, the dismissal of retained civilians and the return of forced Ukrainian children.

Both delegations have agreed to determine the composition of their negotiation groups and immediately start negotiations to achieve a sustainable peace, which will ensure the long -term security of Ukraine. The United States pledged to discuss these specific proposals with Russia’s representatives. The Ukrainian delegation once again stressed that European partners should be involved in the peace process.

Finally, the presidents of both countries have agreed to conclude a comprehensive agreement on the development of critical mineral resources of Ukraine as soon as possible to strengthen the economy of Ukraine and guarantee the long-term prosperity and security of Ukraine,-he wrote in his telegram channel.

According to the adviser to the head of the Presidential Office Dariy Zarivna, the joint statement of the delegations is about a temporary cease ceasefire, for a limited time of 30 days, and only in the case of mutual consent of the Russian Federation.

– The ball is now on the field of Russia. If Moscow wants to complete the war, it should stop fire. Important – a temporary ceasefire is one of the steps. The war will not be frozen, since it should lead to the end of the war in principle. If Russia wants to complete, ”she said.

According to her, the statement directly records the immediate restoration of the US exchange of intelligence and providing military assistance to Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy explained in his video that in the conversation there was a suggestion of the US side for 30 days to try to establish a complete ceasefire – “not only for missiles, drones and bombs, not only in the Black Sea”, as Ukraine suggested all over the front line.
