Prime Minister Denis Shmigal said that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine made an important decision that was part of the acquisition of roaming “visa waiver” with the European Union.
Schmigal said this at a government meeting on Tuesday, March 11.
“Today we make an important decision that is part of the acquisition of roaming” visa waiver “with the European Union. This will increase the connection of Ukrainians abroad with their homeland, with loved ones. This will contribute to the unity and consolidation of the Ukrainian people, ”Shmigal said.
The Prime Minister stressed that Ukraine has taken the way as quickly as possible from applying for EU membership to the opening of precedence negotiations.
“Within the framework of sectoral integration, the so -called” visa -free “with the EU: trade, transport, energy, customs, digital are key. We strive to consolidate these achievements on a permanent basis, and we also work on obtaining an industrial “visa waiver”, – he added.
Earlier, President Zelensky updated the delegation to work on a joint committee between Ukraine and the EU. The Committee was created in accordance with the Agreement on freight transportation.
We will remind, the continuation of the agreement on “transport visa waiver” between Ukraine and the EU became known on June 20 last year. The agreement was updated – a number of new conditions for Ukrainian carriers were added to the text. In particular, they relate to the mandatory license for transportation, as well as the marking of trucks.
