Tyson Fury teases spectacular boxing comeback at Old Trafford as fans say ‘it’d better be Anthony Joshua’

TYSON FURY has seemingly teased a potential return to the ring – less than two months after announcing his retirement.

The Gypsy King stunned boxing fans around the world in January by hanging up his gloves for the fifth time.

But Gypsy King’s promoters – Queensberry Promotions – have appeared to tease a potential ring return for the Wythenshawe warriorCredit: X@QUEENSBERRYFury’s latest retirement came on the back of consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk and seemingly put the final nail in the coffin of a domestic dust-up with Anthony Joshua.

But he’s appeared to tease a ring return through his promoter, Queensberry Promotions.

On Monday, Queensberry’s official X page posted a video of Fury about to walk onto the pitch at Old Trafford while wearing an England flag.

The video’s accompanying caption read, which included eye and hourglass emoji, read: “The return of The Gypsy King?”

Boxing fans were quick to comment, with one asking: “AJ?”

Another said: It had better be the AJ fight or I’m not interested.”

Another said: “Could you imagine if it’s Jake Paul?”

One chimed in: “What’s this all about?”

Several viewers of the post, however, believe the video was teasing Fury’s appearance at Soccer Aid 2025, which is expected to take place at Old Trafford in June.

Fury, 36, has remained radio silent on his fighting future since announcing his latest retirement on social media.

But cousin Andy Lee recently revealed the former two-time unified heavyweight champion is content with his life without boxing.

When asked about his recent chats with Fury, the former WBO middleweight champ told iFL TV: “[It’s] just the odd message here and there and he seems vey happy.

“[He said], ‘Andy I’m not f****d.’ That’s what he said. ‘I couldn’t be f****d with it.’ He’s very happy.”

Saudi boxing supremo Turki Alalshikh is expected to make Fury an astronomical offer to reverse his latest retirement and throw down with Joshua in a long-overdue Battle of Britain.

AJ hasn’t given up hope of finally sharing the ring with the Wythenshawe warrior, telling iFL TV: “I feel like it’s the best fight [for me].

“People might say [Joseph] Parker, people might say – I don’t know.

“But I think Fury, commercially, is a great fight and it’s a great man’s fight as well. So I think it makes sense.

“You could say it’s been years in the making. But listen, the heavyweight division has been thriving.

“And why I say it’s probably still a great fight is as I said Parker is, for me, a great story of someone that never gives up.

“And the thing is, there is going to be one winner and one loser and there’s going to be bloodshed. And it ain’t gonna be mine.”
