The Hungarian government deleted Facebook images with Prime Minister Victor Orban quotes, which could be understood so that Ukraine should not happen. This was reported by Magyar Hang.
– The European Union wants to keep Ukraine alive, will finance the millionth Ukrainian army, will bring Ukraine to the accelerated way [до членства]. This should not happen, – the text was said.
The image quoted the thesis from Orban’s speech at the opening Hungary Chamber of Commerce and Industry on March 8. The image also had a photo of the premiere.
From the full version of Orban’s speech, it is clear that the words that “this should not happen” relate to Ukraine’s accession to the EU, against which the Hungarian Prime Minister consistently opposes.
– The European Union wants another thing: it wants to keep Ukraine alive. This means that the decision was made without our participation, but in the way that affects us that […] The EU wants to take over the financing of the million army outside its territory. We must finance the Ukrainian state because it cannot finance itself. […] At the same time, the EU wants to re -arry and allocate funds, as well as compensate for Ukrainians that they are not accepted in NATO, accelerating their accession to the European Union. […] I am sure that this decision of Brussels will destroy the European economy, so this should not happen, – said Orban.
After the journalists have drawn attention to the incorrect image, the publication was removed from the Hungarian government’s page.
The Hungarian edition also drew attention to the fact that in the propaganda Hungarian media, articles about the risks related to Ukraine’s accession to the EU appear one by one. Yes, Magyar Nemzet has dedicated a separate block with such headings to the EU’s accession to the EU, or Ukraine’s accession to the EU can lead to a retirement disaster in Hungary. And ORIGO wrote that Ukraine’s accession to the EU “can drop the Ukrainian criminal world on us.”
