The State Border Service of Ukraine increases control over the intersection of the border by artists and media representatives. Particular attention will be paid to checking the purpose of their trips.

For traveling abroad, artists and media should provide a number of documents. In particular, a letter from the Ministry of Culture, invitation from the host party, a military accounting document with appropriate marks, as well as a passport are mandatory. All of these documents will be carefully inspected by border guards at checkpoints.
Demchenko emphasized that confirmation of the purpose of the trip is a key condition for permission to cross the border. If it turns out that a person is not going to the West, indicated in the documents, they may refuse to leave.
The border guards were entitled to check the accuracy of travel information, including contacts with the invitation parties.
According to Demchenko, the border guards will be able to contact the organizers of the measures to confirm their holding and the fact of inviting a particular person. They can also ask additional questions by travelers about their plans during their stay abroad.
The decision on the permit will be made on the basis of the analysis of all the information received. If the purpose of the trip is not confirmed, the person will not be able to cross the state border.
We will remind, the Cabinet of Ministers regulated the rules of crossing the border for artists and media. The appeals will now consider profile institutions, and only the Minister of Culture or the Acting Head of his / her duties will be signed by the letter of assistance.
