In this way, the country is isolated from a pan-European consensus, and also opposed the remaining 26 member countries of the block.
This statement was made during the press conference by the President of the Euro Council Anthony Right, European Truth writes. According to him, Hungary is now an isolated state.
At the same time, he stressed that it could not share the EU. The rest of the Bloc Member States continue to support Ukraine.
“We all want peace. The difference is that 26 countries believe that the path to peace is to strengthen the ability to protect Ukraine. Hungary has isolated itself from this consensus, it is lonely,” – said.
He noted that an isolated country “does not create a division.”
Hungary and UkraineIt is known that Hungary has repeatedly blocked sanctions against Russia, as well as the allocation of assistance to Ukraine, which has been opposed to Russia’s aggression for over three years in a full -scale war.
Not so long ago, Politico wrote that Hungary has blocked the allocation of EU 20 billion euros for Ukraine.
In addition, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that during the survey, the Hungarians will be able to express their opinion whether they want Ukraine to join the European Union.
