The spokesman of the chief commandant of the Border Service, Lieutenant Colonel Andrzej Yuzhvyak, said that on March 5, 17 citizens of Georgia had left the military aircraft.
– This is the first From the planned operations of this kind. Other similar events will take place in the coming weeks. Foreigners from different countries will be deported, – said Yuzhiak.
According to him, they were all men aged 24 to 58, transported from centers for foreigners across the country. Among the deported persons were persons with criminal past who committed theft, exceeded their stay, crossed the border illegally or failed to make a return.
Interior Minister Tomasz Semonyak reported that according to 2024, foreigners were suspected of 5% of crimes in Poland. Since the beginning of 2025, 2616 foreigners have been charged. On February 13-14, 1474 people were detained during the police and border guards, including Poles and foreigners. Deportation procedure was launched against 398 foreigners.
Last year, about 8,000 people were evicted from Poland.
