According to the People’s Deputy, the National Cashback program has dubious efficiency / UNIAN collage, photos of ua.depositphotos.comThe National Cashbek Payment Program for the purchase of Ukrainian goods is a failure: it spends considerable funds from the state budget, and the benefit for the economy is measured at the level of statistical error. This opinion was expressed by the Chairman of the Financial Committee of the Verkhovna Rada Danilo Getmantsev, according to the article UNIAN.
“We spend a lot on a variety of programs with dubious efficiency and efficiency (for example, national casheck). This is a problem of catastrophic state of affairs with economic planning and forecasting,” he notes.
Getmantsev explained that the state budget has two positions of expenditures that should be protected – these are safety and defense expenditures and social expenditures, since they are enshrined in our law and cannot be narrowed under the Constitution.
Earlier, the deputy proposed to introduce a “military censorship of expenditures” and to stop spending on “experiments of individual ministers such as a failed cashback”.
People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak also called the cashback program among those that should be abolished.
“The idiotic idea with Cashbek and distributing 1000 hryvnias. The latter was over, but there were statements about the desire to continue it. Both idiotic and corruption decision to spend 30-40 billion hryvnias on the purchase of Russian atomic junk from Bulgarians,” he said.
According to the Ministry of Economy, a few months of the cashback program, which spent 400 million hryvnias, provided 0.001% of GDP growth.
However, the government does not plan to close the program either now or in the future. Yes, Prime Minister Denis Shmigal positively evaluated the National Casheck Program, emphasizing that it was “designed to launch a positive economic growth spiral for Ukrainian business.”
“The program will continue, it does not provide for any stop, it is a long -term strategic program that will last in the coming years,” Shmigal said.
National Cashback – The latest newsUkraine has not yet paid funds under the National Cashback program for December and January. The action press service reported that the government has already allocated funds and cashbacks will soon be transferred. The exact date was not specified.
It is known that in January 2025 Ukrainians accumulated 414 million hryvnias of “National Cashbek”. The total amount of accumulation in two months amounted to UAH 850 million.
