Last night, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky published a message on the social network X, in which he stressed that Ukraine seeks peace and is ready to work with US President Donald Trump. According to him, the Ukrainian side seeks to “very quickly” with all the next stages and together with the United States to agree on a “strong final agreement”.
“We are ready to work quickly to finish the war, and the first stages can be the release of prisoners, immediate truce in the sky: prohibition of rockets, long -range drones, bombardment of energy and other civilian infrastructure – and an immediate ceasefire at sea, if Russia does the same,” Zelensky wrote.
The statement appeared after the media became aware of the probable suspension of the US military support for Ukraine in the fight against the invasion of Russian troops, and a few days after Trump’s public dispute with President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in the oval office, which caused indignation at the European allies.
In his address to Congress, Trump did not formally announce the stopping of military assistance to Ukraine.
