Starmer and Macron can go with Zelensky to the US next week to present a peaceful plan – media

British Prime Minister Kir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron can go to the United States with President Vladimir Zelensky to present a new peace plan, writes the British newspaper Daily Mail.

Diplomatic sources reported to the publication that Starmer and Macron were ready to go to Washington with President Zelensky next week.

US President Donald Trump considers the opportunity to give up NATO leadership and insists that European allies take more responsibility for the security of the continent, Mail reports.

On February 28, Zelensky met in the White House with Trump. The parties planned to sign an agreement on the use of Ukrainian minerals, but after a dispute at the report event, Zelensky left the White House before the journalists, and the signing of the agreement was canceled.

The President of Ukraine flew to London, where he met with the country’s prime minister Kir. After that, there was a summit of European leaders, which discussed the support of Ukraine. Following the summit, Starmer stated that the United Kingdom, along with France, and possibly “another or two participants” will work with Ukraine over the ceasefire plan, which will later be represented by the United States.
