Darya Marchak reminded that this year they would not increase the living wage.

The First Deputy Minister of Social Policy Darya Marchak told this in a comment for RBC-Ukraine.
“If you look at the legislative framework, we have three tools for raising pensions. Unfortunately, they work so that the amount of pension payments can be increased unevenly, because, for example, pensioners who have the smallest or so -called formula pension, whose pensions are reduced to a subsistence minimum. The minimum is not increased due to the difficult financial situation.
According to her, the overall logic of indexation is not to lose any category of pensioners, and absolutely everyone is indexed in the amount laid down by a resolution, which is 11.5%.
“For the purpose of finding a financial resource to increase the smallest pensions, the third year in a row is a restriction on the maximum indexation amount. The pension supplement cannot exceed UAH 1500,” Mchak summed up.
Pension Indexation in Ukraine is the main newsOn February 4, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the increase in pensions to Ukrainian pensioners since spring. Later it became known that since March 1, pensions should increase by 10% of the current size.
On February 19, the Pension Fund approved the main indicator for the revision of pensions – the average salary for 2024. This figure was determined at the level of UAH 17.486.60, which is 22.2% more than in 2023.
In addition, pensioners who work can calculate the indexation of payments from April 1, but not all.
