Makeup-free Millie Bobby Brown shows her real skin amid criticism over ‘mature’ new look

While plugging her brand Florence By Mills’ spot acne patches on Friday, the actress reminded fans that at age 21 she is still ‘figuring out’ what products work best for her skin.

‘Hey guys it’s Mills here, I don’t know if you can see but my break out is pretty bad right now,’ the Stranger Things alum, who filmed the clip just before bedtime, began.

‘I’m 21-years-old, I’m still figuring out what my skin likes and what it doesn’t.’

Fans flooded the brand’s comments with support and praise for the star for being candid and fearlessly revealing the reality of skin texture with no filter.

One top comment read: ‘Mills your skin is beautiful! It’s really sweet that you show your real self and normalize something completely natural. thanks to you, I’ve started accepting my own skin more.’

The brave post from the British actress — who is married to Jake Bongiovi, the son of musician Jon Bon Jovi — comes shortly after she was forced to clap back at trolls who have commented negatively on her appearance.

In recent weeks, the performer has adopted a sultry new bleach blonde hairstyle that some fans say makes her look much older than her 21 years.

And in her Instagram Stories on Thursday, the Damsel star shared a screen shot of a British Vogue article titled No One Cares How Old You Think Millie Bobby Brown Looks, and wrote ‘Thank You’ on it.

‘This obsession with women and their age is a form of misogyny. Beyond that, it’s boring,’ wrote Vogue’s Morgan Fargo in the opinion piece.

Brown debuted her new look on social media on February 1, and people immediately began commenting on how much more mature she looked.

‘I can’t believe she’s only 20, she looks 35! :(‘ one fan wrote.

‘Don’t get why people think she looks 30+,’ wrote another, adding, ‘like she looks unreal and very young … what is wrong with ppl blonde hair suits her perfectly.’

The Enola Holmes star has continued to flaunt her flaxen locks in a series of picture carousels on social media, channeling blonde bombshells such as Pamela Anderson and Britney Spears.

‘I really didn’t think people cared that much about my hair,’ she told Access Hollywood at The Electric State premiere in Los Angeles Monday night.

‘And then I’ve realized it’s become quite the topic of conversation. I think it’s been, nice,’ she said, quipping, ‘blondes have more fun, I don’t know.’

When it was hinted she might be up for the lead in the Britney Spears biopic, the versatile actress said, ‘She is an absolute icon.’

She added: ‘I would love nothing more than to be a part of her story. But that’s her story and I am in full support of her bringing her story to life how she wants to.

‘I would not want that, I would want somebody bringing it to life in the most beautiful way. I would always be open to something like that.’
