On Friday, February 28, law enforcement officers conduct searches at four Kyiv enterprises, which specialize in the production of medicines, according to the press service of the capital police.

The department noted that the said fact was initiated by criminal proceedings, in which law enforcement officers conduct searches in the office premises of these institutions.

“More detailed information later,” Kyiv police said.

According to sources of Ukrainian media, it is about the capital’s pharmaceutical enterprises “Darnitsa” and “Pharmak”. There are no other searches at this time.

Ukrainian manufacturers will reduce the selling prices by the 100 most popular medicines by 30% since March 1, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmigal. The relevant decision was made by the NSDC on February 12.

The NSDC instructed the Ministry of Health during 2025 to monitor the implementation of contracts on medical care of citizens under the medical guarantee program in the provision of necessary medicines.

Also, the Antimonopoly Committee was advised to strengthen the control of compliance with participants in the pharmaceutical market of laws on protection of economic competition. The Council recommends that the Prosecutor General’s office “take additional measures” to identify financial abuse or opaque pricing, which leads to an artificial overestimation of drug prices.
