The government wants to move away from the solidarity system that works poorly in modern economic conditions.

According to her, the Ministry of Social Policy has already sent the Cabinet of Ministers a draft law on a cumulative pension system. When the government approves it, the document will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.
The official noted that this bill was drawn up taking into account the deep analysis of previous such initiatives, in particular, took into account their shortcomings. At the same time, consultations with trade unions, employers and international experts were carried out.
“We have taken into account, I think, absolutely all the significant remarks that have been hampered by the previous legislative initiatives,” she stressed.
Marchak does not roll that the Verkhovna Rada will quickly approve the bill, but the ministry is convinced that the required number of votes will be gained there. According to her, the Ministry of Social Policy hopes for the adoption of the law this year, so that in 2026 its provisions have already come into force.
Reform of the pension system of UkraineAccording to UNIAN, the main purpose of pension reform officials call the increase of justice in the current solidarity pension system. For this purpose it is proposed to introduce concepts such as basic and insurance pensions, as well as – pension points.
The amount of the pension will be calculated on the basis of these points, based on the ratio between the amount of insurance premiums paid for one month of insurance experience of a particular employee, and the amount of insurance premiums from the average wage in Ukraine for the same month. Accordingly, if the employee’s salary was higher than the country’s average, more points will be charged.
