The musician, 54, is the former lead singer of the Ivor Novello award-winning dance band Olive.
And fans spotted that she has now swapped the stage for customer services, with her new LinkedIn title reading: ‘Experienced personal assistant, administrator, recruitment and department coordinator with over 10 years experience in the Hospitality industry.’
The Lion’s owner, Barrie Wilson, said at the time: ‘This is set to be a brilliant weekend of some of the best local talent mid-Somerset has to offer.
‘We have a fab line-up to look forward to, and it is pure fluke that we’ve managed to bag Ruth-Ann Boyle, whose brother is a regular at The Lion. Ruth-Ann has also become a familiar face whenever she visits.’
Singer Ruth-Ann is now a hotel manager (Picture: Ruth-Ann Boyle/LinkedIn) Ruth-Ann’s musical influences were singers Rickie Lee Jones and Joni Mitchell and she joined various bands from age 17–19.
In 2009, British rapper Tinchy Stryder – real name Kwasi Esono Danquah III – released a version of You’re Not Alone, which sparked a bigger interest in Olive.
Around the same time, Digital Spy confirmed that the band was working on its third album, due for release in early 2011, which was set to feature Ruth-Ann on vocals, but does not appear to have been released.

Twin sisters, Monica Taylor and Gabriela Irimia now work in car dealerships in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, decades after their reality TV spin.
Although not many people understood them as a duo, the pair still released music and achieved cult-level popularity with their tune which landed number two on the charts.
Speaking about their job transition at the time, Monica said: ‘I think the British public have a perception that if you are, or have been, in the public eye or a pop star, you’re not allowed to try something else.
‘I always said it’s no shame to work, it’s a shame not to work. We’ve chosen another career path and we are very, very proud of it.
‘I’ve got a passion for cars, so it’s not just the selling bit, but I like the buzz of selling and making people happy.’
