Minkult: artists and media will restore the opportunity to travel abroad after the Government’s approval

The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications explained that they are expecting a change from the Government to a resolution on the list of documents on which they provide a letter of service to men for traveling abroad. After that, they promise to restore the possibility of traveling abroad for artists and media of conscript age.

Details: The Ministry emphasizes that the decision is temporary and will be acted with a formal procedure that would continue to avoid abuse of cultural diplomacy.

Details: The Ministry expects that restoring opportunities for traveling abroad for artists and media of conscript age will take place immediately after the agreed amendments to the Government Resolution have been adopted. They will provide a package of supporting documents, in particular the goals and conditions of the trip, as well as other details.

The press service also stressed that the commentary of the Minister of Culture on Strategic Communications and International Cooperation Dmitry Zolotukhin that 500 men had been fled from Ukraine is not the official position of the Ministry and contains personal interpretations in the media.

That preceded:

• On February 27, the department reported that since March 3, they suspended issues of assistance to the State Border Service, for which artists and media people could travel abroad.
• The reason for this step was called “gaps in national law”, through which some Ukrainians received permission to travel outside the country, but did not return back within the set time.
