The Ministry of Health added to the captivity of the Russian Federation to the list of reasons for the establishment of disability

Ukraine has expanded the list of reasons for the establishment of disability. From now on, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported to deprive personal freedom as a result of armed aggression against Ukraine, on February 27.

“This means that people who have survived illegal maintenance, torture or other health damage as a result of captivity can obtain disability status and relevant state support,” the statement said.

With the introduction of expert teams, the evaluation of the daily functioning of a person has made a decision to expand the list of reasons that may be the basis for establishing a disability.

The Ministry of Health was added that this basis for the establishment of disability applies to both civilians and military personnel.

For this purpose it is necessary to contact the Commission on the establishment of the fact of deprivation of personal freedom in the Ministry of Community and Territories of Ukraine, as well as to evaluate human health and restriction on life.

According to the latest data of the coordination headquarters on the management of prisoners of war, 4 131 people managed to return from Russian captivity: these are both servicemen and civilians.
