Details: The statement was made in the context of consultations initiated at the Presidential Palace President Ilya Bologan with leaders of parliamentary parties and formations to prepare Romania’s position at an extraordinary meeting of the European Council on March 6 in Brussels.

The Provisional President of the Bologan stated on Tuesday, which he invited the parties to consultations, since at an extraordinary meeting of the European Council on March 6, decisions would probably be made that would have a direct impact on European foreign policy and defense, and therefore will demand measures to take action and on the part of Romania .
The Bologa said that the topics of the agenda of the European Council are European defense policy, support of Ukraine and increase of budgets allocated for military expenditures.
Presidential Krin Antonescu, nominated by Romania’s government coalition, said he opposed the departure of Romanian troops to Ukraine.
British Prime Minister Kir Starmer should introduce up to 30,000 European servicemen in Ukraine this week.
