On February 25, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a conversation with Belgium Prime Minister Bart de Vever, congratulating him with a recent appointment.

Zelensky wrote about it in a telegram.

“It is important for us that the support of Ukraine by Belgium remains adamant in these difficult times. I am grateful for your readiness to continue help. The global situation requires coordinated actions and rapid response. We sincerely appreciate that Belgium shares the position of Ukraine: it is important to provide a common European response to the challenges created by Russia. They also discussed the use of frozen Russian assets and coordinated our further contacts, ”the President said.

Recall that the Central Depository of Securities of the EuroClear (Belgium) previously reported that the amount of frozen Russian assets in it is 183 billion euros. In March 2025, Ukraine will receive 2 billion euros from income from these assets.

Earlier, we wrote that the Seven Group countries plan to keep frozen Russian sovereign assets even after the end of the war in Ukraine.
