Canada has announced a new package of sanctions against Russian individuals and legal entities. These sanctions apply to 76 people and organizations both in Russia and abroad, which support Russian aggressive actions.
This was reported on the site of the Canadian government.
The new sanction list included, in particular, TV presenter Volodymyr Pozner, Minister of Energy Sergey Tsyville and his wife. The sanctions were also imposed on the Agency Dialogue and its director Vladimir Tyutyun, the Institute of Internet Development, Akhma Kadyrov Foundation, Artek Children’s Center, Russian Copper Company, Russia’s air and space forces, as well as radiation, chemical and biological protection troops.
On February 24, the EU foreign ministers approved the 16th package of sanctions against Russia’s aggressor country. According to the text, sanctions have been imposed against 48 individuals and 35 legal entities responsible for actions that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
Also, 74 tankers of the shadow Russian fleet were transported to the European Union, which carry Russian oil bypassing prohibitions.
