Photo press serviceOn February 28, at 8:00 pm on 1+1 Ukraine will be the premiere of the new season of the documentary research project “World Inside. Ukraine”. In the first issue, Dmitry Komarov will go to the island of Snake, which became a symbol of Ukrainian resistance to Russian troops, a place inscribed in the history of our struggle.
He was captured by the occupiers on February 24, 2022 and released in July of that year, the snake still remains under a constant threat. Russia does not leave the attempt to regain control of it, and the Ukrainian military risk life daily, holding the strategic point in the Black Sea.
Together with the Ukrainian border guards, the team “Inside” will start an expedition to the island of Snake. What does the island look like now? How does he live during the war? To remove the report and find answers to these questions, Dmitry Komarov and the team had to take the risk more than once.
Photo press serviceJust getting to Snake during the war and even winter is a difficult task. The constant threat of shelling from Russia, storms in the Black Sea, as well as sunken boats at the bottom that interfere with moored and can damage the boat – add risks and complicate the task even more.
“There was a moment when we thought we would have to jump into the water. Winter when storms and water about 5 degrees. We have an unpredictable situation. Great honors to our border guards who work daily in such conditions and hold that important point. It’s real Heroes, people of incredible power, ” – says Dmitry Komarov.
Also in the first issue, the audience will get acquainted with the unique resident of Verkhovyna – Vasilina Kochergan, who inherited from their parents the recipes of therapeutic tinctures of ingredients that most people try to bypass – poisonous snakes and fly agaric. Dmitry Komarov will test the effect of tinctures and find out if this mushroom is really so dangerous and what happens if you eat it raw.
