During a recent speech, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky noted that Russia was trying to restore its influence on states that were parts of the Soviet Union until 1990-91.
“I would say, all countries that were influenced by Russia by 1990-91, I think that, above all, Russia seeks to continue its influence, to be present in the territory of these independent countries, which during the Soviet times were the republics of the USSR,”-said Zelensky.
He also specified that it is not only about Ukraine, but also about Moldova, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia.
