Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson expressed his conviction that Winston Churchill would have acted in the current circumstances in the same way as President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
During a special meeting in Kyiv, organized by Viktor Pinchuk, Johnson noted that the British leader of the Second World War would not pick up words before Trump.
He also responded sharply to Donald Trump’s statements about the responsibility of Ukraine for the solution of war, comparing them with the statement that the United States itself provoked Japan’s attack on Pearl Garbor.
According to Johnson, the current US policy on Ukraine is controversial. He disagreed with the fact that Kiev should make concessions, in particular on mineral resources, but at the same time acknowledged that Washington’s requirements for compensation have historical precedents-the United Kingdom, for example, completed payments for Land League only in 2006.
The former British Prime Minister also believes that Trump’s actions are aimed at increasing the participation of European countries in support of Ukraine. He suggested that Washington could support the placement of peacekeepers in the Ukrainian territory and called for the development of appropriate decisions.
Earlier, we wrote that Boris Johnson’s expression and ex-minister of foreign affairs, Boris Johnson, arrived in Kiev on the anniversary of a full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation with a visit. He will take part in the Support Ukraine Summit with the participation of partner countries and EU leadership.
Also we will remind that Boris Johnson’s expression has denied the words of Trump about the rating of Zelensky and a number of other recent statements. But in his opinion, the US president resorts to fakes from the best wishes.
