Viceremier-Minister for Innovation, Development of Education, Science and Technology Mikhail Fedorov stated that Ukraine will involve private companies in the production of explosives and ammunition. They will provide financial support in the form of grants.
Fedorov said this during the Defense Tech Innovation Forum, writes “Public”.
The Minister explained that they had preparatory work for the implementation of this initiative, in particular, eliminated bureaucratic barriers to manufacturers.
“First, we opened the market, allowed to produce gunpowder for the private sector and ammunition. Secondly, they allowed to import various components for production. And the next step is financial support. Grant is the best approach, and we will start it very quickly, ”Fedorov said.
In addition, the state has developed a program that will allow private companies that produce gunpowder, to join production, and one of the main tasks is the safe placement of such enterprises, including their location at a distance from settlements.
“Requirements for obtaining a license, by default to create safe conditions for production. It should be as far away from living people as possible, certain conditions for safety. These conditions will be created, ” – explained the head of the Ministerus.
When asked by a correspondent, where Ukrainian producers look for raw materials, given the global shortage of substances for explosive production, Fedorov replied that Ukrainian “entrepreneurs have different technologies for production. And they understand where to take and what is needed in the construction chain for production.”
“Therefore, look, there is no problem that Ukrainian entrepreneurs cannot solve. In addition, domestic companies are working on innovative types of explosives, ”Fedorov added.
Since the beginning of a full -scale war, the production of domestic weapons in Ukraine has increased significantly, but the country continues to support the European Union (EU) and the United States of America (USA), President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
And on February 3, the Ukrainian Defense Industry and the Polish Group Group signed a memorandum that defines the main directions of defense cooperation between the two countries.
