The General Staff of the Armed Forces: There were 112 battles on the front during the day, the most remained in the Pokrovsky direction

During the last day, 112 combat clashes were recorded on the front. Most attacks occurred in the Pokrovsky direction, according to the morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces on February 23.

“In the Pokrovsky direction, our defenders stopped 34 assault and offensive actions near the settlements Vodyane Second, Novotoretske, Elizabeth, Ray, Dachenke, Kotlyne, Lucky, Novoaleksandrivka, Andriyivka and Ulakla. At the same time, the enemy actively used bombing and assault aviation to settlements and positions of our troops, ”the message stated.

According to the headquarters, in the Lyman direction the troops of the Russian Federation were attacked 13 times. Near the settlements of Ivanivka, wells, Yampolivka and in the Serebryansky Forest.

“The surgery in the Kursk direction is ongoing. Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders repelled 13 enemy attacks in the direction. The enemy struck 20 aviation strikes, dropping 28 cabin, made 383 shelling, in particular 14 – from the jet systems of volley fire, ”the Armed Forces say.

The Russian Federation also advanced on Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Siversky, Kramatorsk, Toretsky, Novopavlovsky, Orikhiv and Dnieper directions.

“Over the past days, aviation and missile troops and artillery of the defense forces have struck two management points, 15 areas of concentration of personnel and equipment and two artillery means of invaders,” the statement reads.

The Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region remains one of the hottest areas of the front. Over the last year, the largest number of combat clashes is recorded there.

According to British intelligence, in January this year, the promotion of Russia’s troops in Ukraine slowed down – they occupied about 320 square kilometers compared to about 400 square kilometers in December 2024.
