The General Staff of the Armed Forces: There were 80 fights on the front today, most in the Pokrovsky direction

From the beginning of the day on February 21, 80 combat clashes took place on the front, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

“The enemy of Ukrainian defenders in the Pokrovsky direction is intensively attacked. Throughout the day, our defenders repelled 29 assaults and offensive actions of the enemy. The greatest activity of the Russian invaders – in the areas of settlements Water, Elizabeth, Sviridonovka, Ray, Sand, Sergiyivka, Andriyivka, Ulakla, Lucky, Nadiivka and Molodetskoye. The settlements of Grodivka, Lisivka, Mirnograd and Novo Alexandrovka have suffered aviation strikes, ”the post reads.

According to the headquarters, seven times the Russian troops attacked the Lyman direction, trying to move forward near the settlements of Kopanka, Novoyubivka, Terny, Yampolivka and wells.

“Fourteen combat clashes took place today in the Kursk direction, in addition, the enemy struck 17 aircraft blows (24 Cab) and made 368 artillery shelling (three of them – from the RSSL),” the military says.

The Russian Federation also attacked Kharkiv, Kupyansk, Kramatorsk, Toretsky, Novopavlovsky, Gulyaypil.

The Pokrovsky direction in the Donetsk region remains one of the hottest areas of the front. Over the last year, the largest number of combat clashes is recorded there.

According to British intelligence, in January this year, the promotion of Russia’s troops in Ukraine slowed down – they occupied about 320 square kilometers compared to about 400 square kilometers in December 2024.
