The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution that regulates the tissue transplant system in Ukraine. The corresponding changes were made to the Law “On the use of anatomical materials to man”.

Tissue transplantation will provide transplantation of bone fragments, tendons, ligaments, blood vessels, heart valves and other structures of the musculoskeletal system and cardiovascular system.
“Today’s solution will allow hospitals to create hospital jars of tissues. This is an important step for saving the lives of military and civilians who have suffered serious injuries, as well as to assist patients with congenital defects and complex diseases that require reconstructive and plastic interventions. At present, no fabric transplantation is conducted in Ukraine, but about 20,000 Ukrainians need such operations every year, ”said the Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko.
The Ministry of Health was added that the State Service of Ukraine for Drugs and Drug Control will be responsible for keeping a register of medical institutions that provide tissue and hospital banks, monitoring of adverse reactions and possible complications after transplantation.
