A new survey showed that most Ukrainians (69%) continue to believe in Ukraine’s ability to reflect Russia’s attack. However, people are increasingly declaring fatigue from war.

This is evidenced by the survey of the sociological group “Rating”.

The belief in the victory of Ukraine in the last year has not changed significantly – 24% of respondents have increased, and in 23% decreased, another 49% did not change their opinion.

According to sociologists, the prospects of warning look are quite blurred and uncertain, because people are in constant tension. Regardless of age, gender and region, respondents are tired, there is a lot of apathy. It is acknowledged that the combat exaltation, which arose at the beginning of the war, has now gone away.

“In general, it is not so much about faith in victory as the desire for faith in victory. Increasingly, the narrative is about the end of the war in any way. The very definition of victory has also undergone changes – now it is no longer about returning to the borders of 1991, but rather about the end of the acute phase of war and the cessation of advancement of the enemy deep into the country, ”the researchers noted.

The sociological group “Rating” launched a series of periodic all -Ukrainian sociological research, which relate to different aspects of life of Ukrainians during the war: general state of affairs, vision of the future, perception of the region, factors of grouping and separation, etc.

In the first wave (November 20 – December 4, 2024), a combined survey was conducted from two stages: telephone survey: a national sample (2000 respondents), and additional subspecies for 9 zone and border areas (400 respondents each). A total of 5600 respondents.

The error was no more than 2.2% for the sample of 2000 respondents, and not more than 4.9% for 400 respondents.

In addition, 6 focus-group discussions were conducted with permanent residents of the frontier (Zaporizhzhya, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Chernihiv, Sumy) and Non-Fronted Regions within the first wave of the study.

For the first month, sociologists record the fact that most Ukrainians are in the end of the war. This is confirmed by both new data from SOCIS and research of other companies.

Since the beginning of the full -scale war of Russia against Ukraine there is a significant decrease in the number of faithful of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate (UOC -MP). If in 2021 their share was 13%, then in 2024 it decreased to 5.5%.
