The deputy head of the Presidential Office Igor Zhovkva met with State Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Economy of Germany Uda Philip.
Igor Zhovkva noted the significant support of Ukraine from Germany from the very beginning of a full -scale Russian invasion.
“We appreciate the fact that Germany is a key to Europe in Europe. I would like to point out the support from the Federal Ministry of Economy of our energy sector worth about 350 million euros. We expect that assistance to Ukraine by Germany in all priority areas will expand. This is a matter of our collective European security, ”said the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office.
Particular attention is an increase in the presence of German business in the domestic market. Igor Zhovkva congratulated the work of joint Ukrainian-German enterprises specializing in the repair of military equipment, and also stressed that it is important to expand cooperation in the field of production of long-range drones and missiles.
Igor Zhovkva and Udo Philip also discussed the continuation of sanctions against the Russian Federation. The deputy head of the Presidential Office stressed that sanction pressure should intensify and cover all strategic sectors of the Russian economy.
In addition, during the meeting, special attention was paid to the preparation of Ukraine for opening negotiations on entry into the EU.
“Ukraine is doing everything possible to ensure the conditions required for EU membership as fast as possible. It will serve as an important element of Ukraine’s victory. We are firmly set to maintain the high dynamics of the negotiation process, in particular in the field of trade liberalization with the EU. We are counting on the further support of Germany in this matter, ”Igor Zhovkva summed up.
