Foreign Minister of Ukraine Andriy Sibiga has no confirmation of conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during a meeting of foreign ministers in France on February 12. He stated this during a briefing with British colleague David Lemmy, Radio Liberty correspondent reports.

“Unfortunately, as of today, I have no confirmation of conversation with Mark Rubio, with my American colleague. I am waiting for this confirmation and I hope that this conversation will be held in the short term, ”Sibiga said.

According to the minister, his French colleague Jean-Noel Barro invited Sibiga to meet foreign ministers of some countries of the European Union, which will take place in Paris on February 12.

“It will be the third time. I will remind, the first meeting was in Warsaw, the second meeting was in Berlin. These meetings are extremely important. They are about helping Ukraine in achieving a just, comprehensive, sustained peace. They are about specific decisions on how to enhance our stability and our defense capability. They are very frank, they are subject and they focus on all security aspects, ”Sibiga shared.

He also added that he did not have information about Mark Rubio’s involvement in Paris.

“But if Mr. Rubio’s presence at the Munich Conference, I count on meeting with him as part of his stay and participation in the Munich Conference,” the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine summarized.

The Munich Conference on Security this year will be held from February 14 to February 16. It is expected that about 60 heads of states and governments, 150 ministers from all over the world, as well as heads of leading international organizations, will be attended.

Earlier, on Wednesday, US President Donald Trump Special Representative for Ukraine and Russia Kit Kelloggus said he would take part in a security conference in Munich, where he would talk about the end of Russia’s war against Ukraine. He announced meetings with allies of the United States who are “ready to work with us”.

The other day, Radio NV, citing several sources in Ukrainian and American political circles, reported that Kel Kellogg should come to Ukraine in the near future after February 11. Trump’s special representative is expected to come to Ukraine for meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

On February 3, US President Donald Trump stated that talks with Ukraine and Russia are “quite good”, and his administration prepares “meetings and negotiations” with Ukraine, Russia and “different sides”.
