The Armed Forces of Ukraine are actively working on the introduction of innovative technologies in the army. An important step in this direction was the event “CLASTER4DEFENCE”, which took place on the basis of the Kiev Polytechnic Institute named after Igor Sikorsky.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informs about it.

This event was aimed at establishing cooperation between Ukrainian military and dual -use goods. It was attended by representatives of the Ukrainian army, authorities, business, international organizations from the EU and NATO, as well as directly producers of dual -use goods in the field of robotization, automation, IT and other key areas.

The CLASTER4DEFENCE initiative is a Ukrainian cluster alliance, which has 40 clusters, among which more than 10 are directly related to the production of dual -use technologies. It combines both large and small enterprises that can freely exchange experience and provide support in increasing production capabilities, replace imports of complex components from third countries and provide access to new markets.

The Coordinator of the European Union Defense Innovation Office Programs in Ukraine Martin Yossaar has expressed support and readiness to cooperate with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The office focuses on identifying the necessary areas to assist the Ukrainian military in the field of innovation.

Colonel Andriy Lebedenko, deputy commander -in -chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, thanked Western partners and domestic producers for effective cooperation in the development and production of the latest weapons and emphasized the need to increase joint capacity in this direction.

He shared the successful experience of using already effectively working projects within the Ukrainian army, such as “Army+”, “Iron Landfill”, “MEDEVAC” and “On Communications”. These programs help reduce the number of bureaucratic processes within the army and provide Ukrainian servicemen and partners with a modern, convenient and transparent access to obtain the necessary services.

This event has become an important step towards developing military innovations in Ukraine and strengthening the country’s defense capability.

As reported by the army, in Jurmala, Latvia, an international conference “Act in Cryse” was held, dedicated to strategic and crisis communications.
